Reviews about Avery Brewing Company
- 5 / 5By Aaron FloydMay be one of the nicer breweries I've been to. Very nice tasting room and there seems to be bars hidden all over this place! only word of caution when doing a sampler, they dont have a set price for the sampler, each beer comes with its own price. My 6 beer sampler was $21. I mean, they were all great beers, but just a forewarning!January 29, 2017
- 3 / 5By JD FordMy friends and I came in because we were expecting a pub environment. We were hungry and it was a bit late for lunch and early for dinner. Weren't a lot of people. We were seated and wait.....and waited. After we were passed by multiple times by employees, we finally flagged down a waiter and ask who our waiter was. He indicated a waiter who was chatting up some customers who then finally came over. He took our order, got near us once when someone else delivered our food and then came all charm with our bill. Never once refilled drinks. The waiter we flagged down brought out our food and when we asked about getting a growler of what we were drinking he got very rude. While the beer was excellent and the food was good, the price tag and poor service won't ever bring us back.November 08, 2016
- 3 / 5By Heather PutmanI agree with the local guides' reviews - "come for the beer, leave for the food" - and wish we had listened. My husband loves Avery for their consistently great craft brews, and he was excited for the brewery experience. What was awesome: a full complement of "brewery only" beers, the bar and waitstaff service, and the upstairs atmosphere. Where it lacked: the food. The menu reads like a New American array of offerings for the Foodie, but tastes like mediocre diner food. While the pretzel and fries were tasty (albeit lukewarm), we ordered the Pork Belly Collard Greens (tasted like they'd been bathed in oil, no flavor); the white cheddar mashed (like the worst powdered potatoes - no creaminess, no flavor, just bland and yes, powdery); and two cheeseburgers. I am not kidding - my cheeseburger made me have to vomit in the bathroom (I'm not sure if it was the meat quality, some ingredient, or what). (I had one 2 oz pour, for those of you who might say it was because of drinking). We were so disheartened at the food experience, but conversely, happy to find such a range of great offerings on tap! Our advice: either revamp your food menu, or remove it entirely, because you'll negatively color an otherwise exceptional microbrewery experience.September 25, 2016
